The Journey to I Do
Ari and Matthew's journey began with a simple message on OkCupid. On October 13, 2013, Ari reached out, inviting Matthew on a date, and little did they know, this would be the start of a beautiful adventure.

​Their first meeting at Zinga, near Fenway Park in Boston, for ice cream was nothing short of lifechanging. Matthew couldn't help but notice Ari's 'festive' outfit, decked out like a Christmas tree with bright green pants and a red jacket. It was a quirky start to a relationship that would prove to be just as unique.
​
​Their differences were evident from the start. Ari, a Boston University graduate in Finance, was the practical and curious one. Meanwhile, Matthew, a Senior in College finishing his degree in Opera Performance, was the creative and passionate one. Opposites indeed attract.
Their shared love for adventure and trying new things brought them closer. Matthew introduced Ari to a world beyond Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, broadening his culinary horizons, while discovering Ari's dual obsessions with chocolate and airplanes -- Ari showed Matthew a world outside of Opera and romantic comedies. Together, they discovered a passion for travel, exploring nearly 50 countries across five continents. The vibrant streets of India, the mystique of Egypt, weekend getaways in Zurich, the cuisine of Lima, and everywhere in between – their shared adventures became the building blocks of their relationship.

​Building their life together in Boston, they purchased their first home, embarked on an extensive beach house renovation in Puerto Rico, and welcomed Bonvoy, their beloved corgi, into their lives. They bonded over shared interests, from watching every episode of "Below Deck" and "Veep" to indulging in every spy and comedy movie. Their love for trying new restaurants and their relentless dedication to excellence in their careers continues to keep them busy.
When they aren't exploring the world around them, you'll find them pampering their beloved dog, Bonvoy, and engaging in epic fetch sessions that seem to go on for hours.
After nearly a decade of laughter, love, and exploration, Ari decided it was time to propose. Ari proposed on a secluded beach in Langkawi, Malaysia, with waves as witnesses, marking the next chapter in their journey.
